Shopify Development

Shopify stores built to sell, not just launch.

We are a Shopify development agency for UK and US brands that have outgrown their theme. Custom storefronts, headless builds, and Shopify Plus work, all measured against the only number that matters: how many visitors become customers.

Why teams call us

A pretty store that does not convert is an expensive brochure

Most Shopify problems are not design problems. They show up in the checkout funnel, the page speed report, and the ops team’s workload.

Traffic is fine, conversion is not

You are paying for visitors who leave at the cart. Usually it is friction in checkout, slow product pages, or a mobile experience nobody tested properly.

Your theme is fighting your brand

Twelve apps bolted onto a bought theme, each adding scripts and slowing the store down. Every change risks breaking something else.

Ops eats your margin

Manual order routing, inventory that does not match reality, and a team copying data between Shopify and your ERP by hand.

What we build

Three ways we work with Shopify

Take one piece or the whole build. Every engagement ends with a store your team can run and numbers you can track.

01

Shopify Theme Development

Custom storefronts built from your brand, not bent out of a template.

Built for the buying journey

We design and build around how your customers actually shop, then prove it with data rather than opinion.

  • Custom sections your team can rearrange
  • Product pages built for your catalog type
  • Checkout and cart optimized for mobile
  • Speed budget enforced before launch

Merchandising controls

Your team builds collection pages and campaigns without a developer, using sections that cannot break the design.

Speed as a feature

Lean templates, lazy loading, and ruthless app auditing. Faster stores convert better, and that is measurable.

Conversion rate work

We instrument the funnel, find where people drop, and test fixes. Design opinions are cheap. Checkout data is not.

02

Headless & Shopify Plus

For high-volume brands that need speed, scale, or custom logic.

Headless commerce on Hydrogen or Next.js

Shopify stays the commerce engine while the storefront runs on a modern framework. Worth it when speed is revenue and your catalog is large.

Shopify Plus

Scripts, Functions, B2B, and multi-store setups for brands operating at volume.

Custom checkout logic

Discount rules, bundles, subscriptions, and B2B pricing built with Functions rather than fragile app stacks.

International selling

Markets, currencies, translated content, and tax handling set up so expansion is a switch, not a rebuild.

03

Migrations & Integrations

Move platforms without losing rankings, and connect the systems behind the store.

Replatform to Shopify

From WooCommerce, Magento, BigCommerce, or a custom build. Products, customers, and orders moved with redirects mapped so SEO holds.

ERP and 3PL integrations

Inventory, fulfillment, and accounting wired together so your team stops copying data between systems.

Custom Shopify apps

Private apps for the workflows no public app handles: bespoke quoting, trade portals, warehouse logic, or bulk operations.

Store audits

A prioritized list of what is costing you conversions, with effort and impact scored.

Our Shopify stack

Modern commerce tooling, chosen for revenue

We keep the app list short on purpose. Every app is a script on your storefront, and scripts cost you speed and money.

Questions

Shopify development FAQs

The questions we get asked on almost every first call.

How much does a custom Shopify store cost?

Most custom builds start around [$18,000] and headless or Plus projects start around [$45,000]. The variables are catalog size, integrations, and how much content needs migrating. You get a fixed quote after a short discovery call.

Should we go headless?

Only if speed is directly tied to revenue, your catalog is large, or you need a storefront experience Liquid cannot deliver. Headless costs more to build and maintain. For most brands under a certain volume, a well-built custom theme performs just as well.

Can you migrate us without losing SEO rankings?

Yes, and it is the part we plan first. We map every URL to its new destination, keep structured data intact, and monitor rankings through launch. Traffic dips usually come from skipped redirect mapping, not from the platform change itself.

Do we need Shopify Plus?

Plus makes sense above roughly [$1M] in annual revenue, or when you need checkout customization, B2B, or multiple stores. Below that, standard Shopify plus good engineering usually does the job for less money.

Can you reduce the number of apps we pay for?

Usually yes. We often replace five or six overlapping apps with custom code, which cuts monthly fees and removes the scripts slowing your store down. We show you the math before you decide.

How long does a Shopify project take?

A store audit takes 1 to 2 weeks. A custom build runs 8 to 12 weeks. Headless and Plus projects run 12 weeks or more. You get a week-by-week plan before we start.

Will our team be able to run the store afterward?

That is the point. We build merchandising controls around how your team works, then train them and hand over documentation. You own the store, the code, and the accounts.

Ready to find what your store is leaving on the table?

Book a free strategy call. We will look at your funnel, tell you honestly where the revenue is leaking, and give you a prioritized plan, usually within 24 hours.
